Builder·Engineer·Entrepreneur

I’ve always loved building things.

I want to understand how every part works, why something isn’t working, and how I can make it better.

That started with engineering competitions, then became a product, then my own business, and now an AI company.

The things I’ve built have gotten a lot bigger. The part I love hasn’t changed.

What I’ve built

Everything I’ve built has gotten bigger than the one before it.

Here’s how that’s gone so far.

    Jess Sports

    Where it started·Product & sales

When I was about twelve, I came up with the idea for the Caño Cage, a modular soccer cage for training and small sided games.

With my dad’s help, that idea became a real product. I worked tournaments, talked directly with customers, helped with installations, and personally brought in more than $20,000 in sales.

    Purple Wake Austin

    Founder·My own business

Purple Wake started with me teaching friends how to wakesurf. I turned it into a business by building the website, booking and payment systems, advertising, camps, and customer experience.

Last summer, Purple Wake brought in $8K+ in revenue in two months. Today, reviews, Google search, and referrals bring in most of my customers.

    TheEverlasting

    Co-founder·My biggest build yet

TheEverlasting is the biggest thing I’ve built so far.

We’re using AI to capture people’s life stories, turn them into films, and build Everlasting Presence, a digital twin grounded in what that person actually said while they were alive.

My role has been figuring out how to bring the different technologies together into a system that actually works, while learning how real people respond to AI along the way.

Before the businesses

I’ve been building for a while.

For about eight years, I competed in Destination Imagination.

My team was given engineering problems with rules, but no instructions for how to solve them. We had to design, build, test, fix, present, and compete.

I was doing that long before I ever took an engineering class.

Sport & the outdoors

Beyond the builds

Football

The first girl to play football at my middle school and my high school.

I played wide receiver and kicker in middle school and kicked for a Texas 6A high school team. I didn’t wait for anyone to ask me.

Soccer

The sport my family’s first business was built around.

I play club soccer at Alabama, and before college I was head coach for soccer and cross country at International School of Texas.

On the water

I grew up on Lake Austin.

If it’s on the water, or under it, I’m in: wakesurfing, wakeboarding, foiling, kiteboarding, diving. The lake is also where Purple Wake started.
